About Our Company

Starchy™ bioplastic idea was conceived in late 2021 and officially trading in March 2023 under PT Batavia Fokus Teknoplas in Indonesia, which later our company is renamed to Boemi Circular International. The name 'Boemi' is a sanskrit translation for 'Earth', as we have philosophy what earth has given to us will circulate back to earth. The name Starch derived from bio-based compound found in Cassava, potato, and other vegetable extractions and food waste, as we strive to make a positive impact by re-utilizing waste to make a simply better bioplastic.

 The escalating volumes of both plastic and food waste have prompted us to research bio-based plastics made from food waste materials. Our goal is to transform these two waste issues into a single eco-friendly product, thus promoting a circular economy.

We hold a firm belief that banning single-use plastic is insufficient in combating plastic waste. The changing consumer behavior and the growing demand in retail make it difficult for customers and businesses to abstain from using single-use plastic. At Starchy, our objective is to innovate a better and more environmentally friendly bioplastic that doesn't compromise on product's quality.

Adhering to our philosophy of making everyday items as bio-based as possible, we utilize natural materials and food waste from food manufacturers. We extract starch from this waste to produce high-quality bio-based products.
